Ki-Won is passionate about teaching young children. He taught Physics at Seoul Foreign School and worked as teaching assistant during his graduate studies. He used to participate in the Talented and Gifted Program and other extracurricular activities while his two children attended Eugene's public schools. Both his son, daughter, and their spouses received their undergraduate education at Stanford University. Three of them became physicians and one is in the Ph.D. program.
