Education. B.A.
in Biology with a minor in secondary education from Ripon College (Ripon,
Wisconsin).
Work Experience. Science teacher at
Hahnville High School in Boutte, Louisiana (2005-2006). Sixth grade
science teacher at Belle Chasse Academy in Belle Chasse, Louisiana (Spring
2005).
Accomplishments. Performed
a two-year limnological study on a lake in central Wisconsin. Spent the
fall of 2003 in
Brazil
studying ecology. Participated in two week-long biology courses at
the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness in northern
Minnesota. Attended
a wilderness survival and tracking course in New Jersey from
world-renowned outdoorsman Tom Brown.
Interests. Sara
enjoys outdoor pursuits such as hiking, camping, canoeing, wildlife
identification, and exploring the beautiful Oregon coast. Sara also enjoys
reading books about ecology and taking care of her hedgehog, Roux. |
