Education - MEd, University of Georgia and B. A., University of Georgia, summa cum laude

 

Work Experience - Upon completion of her Master’s Degree, Mary Ellen taught a second/third grade combination class for three years in Winterville, Georgia. In Northern California, Mary Ellen taught for eight years at Etna Elementary School in Scott Valley, in the lovely Siskiyou Mountains. She taught first through fifth grade at Etna. Most recently, Mary Ellen taught for five years as an Assistant Professor in a teacher education program. Mary Ellen says that teaching K/1 at Oak Hill School is like coming home.

 

Interests - As a teacher and a trainer of teachers, I am passionately interested in the pursuit of excellent teaching. I enjoy reading, gardening, and many outdoor activities. I love to travel, especially to other countries. One of my greatest joys is nourishing family connections.
