Education:
B.A. in Linguistics, TESOL / SLAT (Second Language Acquisition and
Teaching) certification. Masters degree in Educational Sciences, with
honors, Universiteit van Amsterdam. Currently a PhD candidate,
Universiteit Utrecht.
Work Experience:
I have taught in a number of countries including Israel, the Netherlands,
the Czech Republic, the U.S., and Thailand. In addition to English, I have
also taught Philosophy, Sex Education / Health, P.E., Personal Safety,
Math, History and Science.
Prior to my work in linguistics, I was a psychology major. I have
maintained a connection to the field via my graduate and post-graduate
work critically examining issues related to resilience and the
problematization , medicalization, and over-medication of so-called
“at-risk” youth.
