Dave was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area in the 50's and 60's.  He attended Sonoma State University and later graduated from Western Washington University with a degree in Education.  He has taught 3rd, 5th and 6th grades, and has taught Science and History at the middle and high school levels.

Dave was a lead singer in a rock band and was a member of two theater groups in Forest Grove, Oregon from 1980 to 1987.  He has developed tutoring centers in Sacramento, California and here, in Eugene.  He is currently a member of the PDGA (Professional Disc Golf Association).  Dave continues to be interested in music and theater.
