Barbara Sloat holds a Bachelor's Degree in French, summa cum laude, and a Master's Degree in Education with an emphasis in foreign language teaching. 

Barbara has taught at the Lycee Francois Villon in Paris, France, the University of Oregon, and Catlin Gabel School in Portland. 

Barbara has two daughters attending Oak Hill School.
