STEERING COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES

Community Council Minutes from the all school meeting held on Feb 8 2006

1. Ronnie gave introduction of Community Council.
2. Natasha gave a great update on the Box Tops for Education™ to let everyone know how easy it is to be part of this ongoing fundraiser.
3. Wade gave an update on the Boosters Club. They are currently looking for track volunteers. Basketball is having a great season.
4. Prom is scheduled for May 13 at Laurelwood Golf Course. Fundraising activities will begin soon.
5. Laura gave an Auction update. It will be held at Oak Hill ion April 15.
Full price ticket includes the Limo Race with dinners in the limo and dessert when they return from the treasure hunt. Those not wanting to participate in the limo race can stay at the school and enjoy dessert, drinks and wonderful ambiance!! It is 100.00 for the limo race and 45.00 for dessert and drinks. Each limo can accommodate teams of 8.
6. Roots and shoots will be coming back, with Laura and her info board in the parking lot, look for her in the near future!!
7. Carrie gave an update for the retention committee. Exit surveys are now being sent out, 35 so far with a lot of feedback coming back to the committee.
8. Robin is in need of the auction donations for the baskets. Also for people to get donations from local businesses. There is a list in the office of places that have donated in the past. Elliott would really like people to go to these businesses and get donations.
9. Mark with the fundraising committee stated we are more likely to get donations if it is for a specific thing. He has sent out a list of needs, wants and desires. E bay would be a great way to obtain things on the needs list.
