Pre-calculus
and Discrete Mathematics (PDM) - This course finishes a complete
high school mathematics experience and covers many topics usually included in a college level
calculus course. Topics include increasing and decreasing functions, limits, minima and maxima, modular
arithmetic, remainder and factor theorems for polynomials, trigonometric identities,
mathematical induction, combinatronics, polar coordinates and complex numbers, vectors,
derivatives and integrals.
UCSMP’s Pre-Calculus and Discrete Mathematics is
the course textbook.
