Art Elective - The instructional focus for high school art students concentrates the creative process. Projects develop mastery of skills with a variety of media in clay and stone (sculpture), watercolor, colored papers, tempera, charcoal, pencil, ink and glass (fusing and etching). Students are exposed to art history by viewing famous works and studying the lives and times of the artists. Art students are encouraged to produce creative works in which individuality is recognized and respected.
