Latin III - Latin prose writers are introduced such as Caesar, Augustine, Cicero and Boethius. The complex systems of Latin poetry begin to be discussed and short Latin poems are read.

Latin IV (Virgil or AP Latin (Virgil) - Fourth year Latin students choose between taking Latin 4 or AP Latin. In practice, these courses are similar in content (reading Virgil’s Aeneid) and difficulty, the chief difference being that AP Latin will be consciously geared to passing the AP Latin examination.
