Kindergarten and First Grade - One day each week, kindergarten students visit the library for story hour. Students also visit the computer lab where they learn basic skills in word processing, desktop publishing, Internet exploration and spreadsheet use. The kindergarten class is introduced to word processing and drawing programs. They will learn to identify and use the physical components of a computer system. Members of the first grade class begin to use word processing and drawing programs to create their own documents. They are also introduced to Internet Explorer and the World Wide Web.
