Second and Third Grade - The goal of physical education is to develop an appreciation for exercise and its importance to being physically fit and emotionally healthy throughout life. The ultimate goal is to develop an understanding within each student of the benefits gained from a physically active lifestyle including enjoyment, challenge, self-expression and social interaction. Activities include hiking, biking, weight-lifting, playing basketball, golfing and even bowling. Exposing students to a wide variety of physical activities is of utmost importance.
