Fourth and Fifth Grade - Students work on a progression of 2-D and 3-D projects by drawing, painting, paper construction and ceramics. Students explore the elements of designs, principles of composition and adapt to intermediate technical tools. Project subject matter integrates into the core curriculum and enriches student interpretations of daily lessons. For example, after studying Harry Potter in Language Arts, students created sculptures of their favorite characters from the series. They also created gilded president’s heads as they studied the accomplishments of American presidents.
