Second and Third Grade
- Students explore line, color, area, volume and texture as they master basic technical
skills. Students become familiar with rhythm, observation, symbolism, composition, shading,
depth and color as means of expression. Art projects often relate to themes discussed in
class.
For example, students make colorful clay buses inspired by Rosa Parks. They
made gilded relief portraits of presidents to celebrate Presidents' Day
and show how proud they are to be Americans. |
