Kindergarten and First Grade - In addition to daily activities within the classroom, students take an art class with a specialist each week. Projects done in art are often related to the themes explored in the K-1 class. For example, students create books to reinforce their knowledge of the alphabet and numbers. They work individually and cooperatively to make leaf prints, ceramic tiles, sculptures and paintings.
