Kindergarten and First Grade - Two days a week, students attend a music class where they learn songs and play musical instruments. Our kindergartners build a large repertoire of songs. The subject matter is often related to the lessons in the K/1 class. We focus on good singing intonation and learn basic melodic concepts. We also use simple barred instruments like xylophones as well as other Orff instruments, which help students learn how to play instruments while focusing on specific keys.
