Second and Third Grade - In lower grades we focus on creating a caring classroom community through regular class meetings in which we discuss and role play social situations. Social studies and science are often integrated into math and literacy using a thematic approach. In second grade, students learn about our local community and our families. In the third grade, students study geography and map skills.  They create time lines and read about the family and local history.
